Committal

(4)Standing Order No. 83B (Programming committees) shall not apply to proceedings in Committee of the whole House, to any proceedings on Consideration or to proceedings on Third Reading.

On the day of the ballot, the Chairman of Ways and Means will draw 20 names in reverse order. The list of successful Members will be available in the Vote Office and on the internet shortly after the draw. Members successful in the ballot will be contacted by the Clerk of Private Members’ Bills.

For amendments to be eligible for selection for the committee of the whole House and remaining stages of the Passenger Railway Services (Public Ownership) Bill on Tuesday 3 September, they should be tabled by 4.30pm on Thursday 29 August.

For amendments to be eligible for selection for the committee of the whole House and remaining stages of the Budget Responsibility Bill on Wednesday 4 September, they should be tabled by 4.30pm on Friday 30 August.

Amendments tabled by these deadlines will be available on the relevant bill pages of the Parliamentary website from the morning after the deadline.
