That this House again condemns President Putin’s war of aggression in Ukraine, which is now in its fourth year of tragedy and destruction; further condemns the atrocities committed by Russia in Ukraine, in particular the abduction of Ukrainian children; notes that Russia is running out of economic capacity to sustain its war of aggression, and therefore supports increased economic sanctions to choke off the supply of Russian funding from the export of oil and gas; reaffirms UK support for the government and armed forces of Ukraine in the defence of their country and the UK’s steadfast support for NATO and the security of the UK's allies, which are also under attack from petty Russian aggressions intended to test NATO resolve; also condemns Russian nuclear sabre rattling, and resolves not to be intimidated or to fear the consequences of a Russian defeat in Ukraine; urges the Government and the UK's allies to accelerate military support for Ukraine, including the provision of longer-range weapons systems, and to release frozen Russian assets for the financing of increased military spending in Ukraine as soon as possible; further reaffirms support for the Government’s refusal to recognise Russia’s annexation of the occupied Ukrainian territories; and resolves to ensure that Russian armed forces are expelled from all Ukrainian sovereign territory as recognised in international law.
